Quickstart
This path gets you from a new account to a working desktop session.
1. Create or sign in
- Open the Locimens website and Sign in (Google auth).
- Confirm your plan on Accounts after checkout if you purchased a subscription.
- Every plan uses the same desktop app; Beginner starts with demo-oriented limits, and paid plans unlock live MT5 and broader features.
2. Download and install
- Confirm your PC meets the minimum requirements (Windows 10/11 64-bit, ~8 GB RAM, Locimens + MT5 on the same machine).
- From Accounts, download the Locimens Windows installer.
- Run the installer and launch Locimens when installation finishes.
See Download & install for the full PC table and first-launch tips.
3. Link the desktop app
- Sign in inside the desktop app with the same account as the website.
- If prompted, complete desktop link / device pairing from the pairing page.
- Confirm your plan entitlements load (marketplace products and device limits).
4. Connect MetaTrader 5
- Start MT5 and log into the account you intend to monitor (demo first is recommended).
- Install the Locimens mailbox EA from desktop Marketplace if your plan includes it.
- Attach the EA to a chart and confirm algorithmic trading is allowed.
Details: MT5 bridge overview and Connection checklist.
5. Configure an LLM
- Open Settings (gear icon).
- Choose Ollama (cloud and/or local), OpenRouter, or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
- Pick a model in the header and refresh the connection until status is healthy. Local models need enough RAM for that model on top of Locimens + MT5 — see Download & install.
6. Open the dashboard
- Use the main nav Overview tab for MT5 status and positions.
- Open Agents to install or start a plugin from Marketplace.
- Optionally enable floating widgets (P&L, positions, agent chat) from Settings → Widgets.
Checklist
- PC meets Locimens + MT5 requirements
- Website account signed in
- Desktop installed and linked
- MT5 running and EA attached (if required)
- LLM provider connected
- At least one agent installed or explored
